SCAD Atlanta's Ivy Hall Writer's Series presents celebrated national and local authors for a series of lectures and book signings.
Schedule of readings:
November 5: Mary Kay Andrews
Mary Kay Andrews is the author of numerous New York Times bestselling books. At this event she will read from and sign copies of her latest novel, "Christmas Bliss."
November 7: Marc Ecko
Once a graffiti artist with no connections or fashion pedigree, Marc Ecko left the safety net of pharmacy school to start his own company, now a multi-million-dollar global corporation. Ecko will discuss and sign copies of his new memoir, "Unlabel: Selling You Without Selling Out."
November 13: Charles McNair
Charles McNair is the author of the novel “Land O’ Goshen,” which was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize for fiction in 1994. His new book, “Pickett’s Charge,” tells the story of Threadgill Pickett, who, at 114, believes he’s the last living Civil War veteran. The book blends historical fiction with a 1960s-influenced tall tale of an epic journey.
November 14: Terrell Tannen
Director, screenwriter and author Terrell Tannen's new memoir, "When Blood is Gone: A Memoir of Time, Place and Family," reflects on his worldly childhood as the son of an intelligence officer and a military nurse. Tannen has written screenplays for Academy Award-winning directors, and his memoir is about life, death and what really matters in life.
