Event Description
Learn about the history of Piedmont Park and get a little exercise by joining this guided walking tour. The tour lasts 60 to 90 minutes and covers all phases of the park’s development, including the forest, the Walker farm, fairgrounds for the Piedmont Exposition of 1887, the Cotton States and International Exposition of 1895, the transformation of the fairgrounds into a suburban park, and the current status of Piedmont Park as Atlanta’s premier urban park. Guests should meet at the Green Market Information Booth located near the 12th Street park entrance.
