Description
Westside Arts District (WAD) is an alliance of commercial galleries and non-profit art spaces located in Westside Atlanta (West Midtown/Midtown West), from the White Provisions development at 14th Street and Howell Mill Road, the galleries along 11th and 10th streets, the Brickworks development at Howell Mill Road and Marietta Street, and southward to the Atlanta Contemporary Art Center on Means Street. The group was formed in January 2009 in order to capitalize on the growing momentum of the Westside as a destination for visual art. WAD is comprised of 10 dynamic art spaces: Astolfi Art, Atlanta Contemporary Art Center, Emily Amy Gallery, Get This! Gallery, Jennifer Schwartz Gallery, Kiang Gallery, Octane Coffee Bar, Poem 88, Saltworks Gallery and Sandler Hudson Gallery.
