Arctis Nova 5X Review Analysis
Multi-platform use
The Nova 5X is aimed at players who use more than one kind of device.
Its compact USB-C dongle is specified for Xbox, PC, PlayStation, Switch, Meta Quest, phones and tablets, while a separate button toggles between 2.4GHz gaming and Bluetooth 5.3.
Check the ports and connection needs of your own devices before buying.
Presets and control
The app-based presets are useful for buyers who want to adjust game audio by title, with 100+ options for games including GTA V, FIFA and Call of Duty.
On-headset buttons cover everyday controls and ChatMix, so wireless mode changes and game/audio balance have physical controls at hand.
Battery and charging
A 60-hour battery rating makes endurance a central part of the package, and USB-C fast charging is rated to add 6 hours of use from a 15-minute charge.
This combination should appeal to players who want fewer charging pauses, while actual runtime can vary with how the headset is used.
Microphone and everyday use
The fully retractable ClearCast 2.X microphone can be put away when it is not needed, and the headset also has power, mute, volume and ChatMix controls.
The chipset’s 32KHz/16Bit audio specification is a technical detail rather than a guarantee of call quality, so frequent outdoor callers should check how it handles their usual environment.
